Mile High Themes is Live!
Better late than never right? I've been meaning to get this site up and running for months now, but just haven't had the time to get it done. I've been so busy supporting the ShowTime theme and working my regular job full-time that I haven't had time to do much of anything else. Well, thanks to the dreaded "company restructuring," I'm out of a job and ready to tackle Shopify work full-time. Nervous? Absolutely, but I also couldn't be more excited!
What is Mile High Themes all about?
I'm glad you asked! My name is Tim and I'm a web designer from a suburb of Denver, Colorado. I've been in the web design industry for over 15 years and thoroughly enjoy working on the web. Sometime in 2011, while researching e-commerce platforms for my niche online music store, I stumbled upon Shopify. Although my little store was swallowed up by recession, rising shipping costs (it was music imported from Japan), and the strength of the Yen about three years later, I had found a friend in the e-commerce niche and Shopify specifically. If you'd like to read a little more about me and Mile High Themes, I invite you to head over the About page.
My goal with this site...
Well, my goal is to advertise new themes I'm working on, offer services for other Shopify entrepreneurs, and keep you updated on happenings in the world of Shopify. I also hope to use this blog as a means to help other designers get themes in the Shopify Theme Store. I can tell you from experience that this is a very daunting (and often very frustrating) task, but is also extremely rewarding when you succeed. Stay tuned for a story about that in a future blog post.
What's with all the mountains?
Well, I'm from Colorado, so I love mountains. This blog post's featured image is of the Maroon Bells, a scenic mountain retreat near Aspen. I realize it isn't relevant to the content but really, what else should I use for an introductory post? Plus, it looks purty. :)
Anyway, thanks for stopping by today! Feel free to have a look around, check out my themes and services, and drop me a note if you have any comments or feedback. And of course, if you're in the market for some Shopify services, be sure to let me know!
